Welcome to PAPER MOON GREEN SPRINGS, a delightful café nestled in the heart of Tachikawa, Tokyo. This charming spot specializes in American-style desserts that bring a touch of nostalgia to every bite, making it a must-visit for both locals and travelers seeking an authentic sweet experience.

Upon stepping into PAPER MOON, you’re greeted by the warm aroma of freshly baked goods paired with the rich scent of brewed coffee that invites you to stay a while. The ambiance strikes a balance between casual and cozy, although it can get a bit lively during peak hours, especially on weekends. While the decor may not be the quietest, the energy is infectious, creating a lively atmosphere perfect for catching up with friends or indulging in a sweet retreat.

The menu here features an enticing selection of desserts, but the true highlights are the pies. Customers rave about the Macademia Custard Pie and Pear and Almond Tart, each crafted with precision and passion. James Willoughby's experience encapsulates the essence of their offerings as he described the tart as "the best food so far on my trip in Japan," and we can’t help but agree! And if you are a lover of apple pies, you’ll find the perfect slice waiting for you here; Todsaporn Banjerdkit enthusiastically recommends trying them. The crushed, crunchy pie crusts provide a delightful textural contrast to the velvety fillings that keep pie aficionados coming back for more.

For those seeking a perfect beverage pairing, the café serves an array of coffee drinks, making it a place for coffee enthusiasts too. Rowan Derricutt highlighted the quality of their espresso-based drinks, noting it’s "hard to find espresso-based coffee that tastes as it should." This commitment to quality is evident in every cup, enhancing your dessert experience with a well-crafted latté or espresso.

While some patrons like Eric Klein mention that the prices can be a bit on the higher side, many agree that the rich flavors and indulgent experiences make it worth every yen. The staff is described as kind and attentive, ensuring that your visit is enjoyable and comfortable, despite the busy surroundings.

So whether you’re a local looking for your next favorite dessert spot or a traveler in search of that perfect blend of culture and culinary delight, PAPER MOON GREEN SPRINGS is the café to visit. Grab a slice, sip on some coffee, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere that’s as sweet as the treats they serve!

I loved it here. I bought the Macademia Custard Pie with an iced latté. The pie crust was crunchy and the filling was just the right consistency. Absolutely delicious. The coffee was also just right, its hard to find espresso based coffee that tastes as it should. If i could rate higher than five stars i would. Although I was handed an english menu, I was spoken to in Japanese. My reading skill isn't as good as my japanese speaking yet, so i really appreciated their care. I was served by a very kind woman and the staff were all paying attention to the floor. Having worked in service for such a long time it was refreshing to see such attention to detail. Will most definitely be coming back to tey the rest of the cakes and pies. Fully wheelchair accessible, perfect for people with auditory processing disorders/sensitive to sound. Open and comfortable seating. There are tables the perfect height for wheelchair users

Really good american style pie, just like mom made back on the farm, etc. It's a bit expensive however worth it now and then. There is often a line to sit down during weekends and holidays. Staff is kind, but the room itself is a little loud and not super relaxing or especially cozy. But the pies are amazing.
